Biography

Lauren Burns is an associate at MacLean, Ema & Aulet and works with the firm’s Estate Planning and Trust and Estate Administration practice groups.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Lauren and her family moved to Lighthouse Point, Florida in 2005. Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and her law degree, graduating cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. During her last year of law school, Lauren served as President of the law school’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Society.

Following her admission to The Florida Bar, Lauren returned to school to earn her LL.M. degree in Estate Planning from the University of Miami, School of Law, one of the nation’s premier programs in advanced estate planning and wealth transfer.

Lauren was recognized in 2025 as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers, a peer designation awarded only to a select number of attorneys in each state who demonstrate excellence in their field. Lauren currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association. She is also a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar and the Wills, Trusts and Estates and Young Lawyers Sections of the Broward County Bar Association.

Lauren lives in Pompano Beach, Florida, and takes great pride in serving the community she is fortunate to call home.
